June 23-26 Advanced IQ: Competition Season Jumpstart (Grades 4-7, IQ Robots)
Monday - Thursday
9am - 1pm
This summer camp is tailored for 4th - 7th graders who have experience with VEX IQ, allowing them to build and program their own IQ robot. Campers will get to work with the field elements of the new IQ game. Get a jumpstart on season planning and strategy. Older students with extensive robotics experience and confident in their skills may consider the VEX V5 course options.
This camp is strongly recommended for students who are participating in the Placer Robotics VEX IQ League 2025-2026 competition season!

There is less structure and instruction, allowing the students full creativity with their designing, building, and programming of their robot for the 2024-2025 VEX IQ Game Challenge . RECF and VEX Robotics will unveil the new game on May 2024 at the VEX Worlds Championships.
Overview
Experience Level: Intermediate/Advanced - Prior VEX IQ experience recommended (Intro class, previous IQ competition team)
4 Day Summer Camp (Mon-Thur), 9-1pm each day

Small groups (2-3 per robot)
4-6:1 camper to counselor ratio
Focus on advanced mechanical design concepts and mechanisms, build quality
